Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 26, at Woodbine Cemetery for Catherine Hensley Berry of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Berry, 87, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005 in Artesia. Rev. J. B. Craft will officiate at the services. No visitation is planned. Mrs. Berry was born November 11, 1917 in Texas; the daughter of John Henry Pryor and Fannie Hynds Pryor. She was married to Ellis Lee Hensley on June 2, 1935, in Big Spring, Texas. She came from there to Artesia in Feb. 1956. Her husband preceded her in death in August 14, 1970. In September, 1971, she was married to Harlan G. Berry in Carlsbad, N.M. He preceded her in death Nov. 15, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Harold Hensley, sisters Dorothy Hopper and Pearl Watkins, and a brother Johnny Pryor. She was a housewife and member of the Assembly of God and was a past member of the Artesia Moose Lodge. Survivors include sons Ellis Lee Hensley and wife Mae of Artesia, Weldon Hensley and wife Margaret of Artesia, and Billy Hensley and wife Shirley of Tyler, Texas; a daughter Linda Stanley and husband Jerry of Shreveport, Louisiana; stepsons Jerry Berry and wife Sherry of Hobbs, N.M., and Lynn Berry of Artesia; step-daughters Karen Caldwell and husband Corky of Alpine, Texas, and Kim Burns and husband Wayne of Artesia; a sister Mary Prevo of Big Spring; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
