Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 26, at Woodbine Cemetery for Carroll wade Jackson, Lovington, New Mexico. Mr. Jackson, 49, died Sunday, August 21, 2005 at Memorial Herman S.E. Hospital in Houston, Texas. Pastor David Brunson will officiate at the services. Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Smith, Kevin Freeman, Lewis Needham, Wayne Dixon, Jerry Walmer, and Tommy Fryer. Mr. Jackson was born June 14, 1956 in Artesia, New Mexico; the son of Carroll William Jackson, Jr. and Opal Stone Jackson. He was an Artesia resident before moving to Lovington, N.M. in 1986. He served in the Army for four years and obtained the ranking of Sergeant. He was a Truck Driver most recently and worked as a pumper for Phillips Petroleum for 17 years. He also was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt. Survivors include his parents Carroll and Opal Jackson of Hagerman, N.M.; son Allen Wade Jackson and wife Brittany of Houston, Texas; daughter Kimberly Jackson Glass and husband Steve of Lovington, N.M. brother John Jackson and wife Melinda of Lake Arthur, N.M.; sisters Effie Laman of Lubbock, Texas and Carolyn Lunde and husband Ed of Lancaster, California; grandchildren Stevie Grass of Dumas, Texas, Laci Grass, Kiersten Grass both of Lovington, and Kaylee Jackson of Houston; uncles and aunts Coleman and Carrie Jackson of Cottonwood, N.M. and Dolly and Bob Bassett of Milan, N.M.; six nieces and two nephews. Memorial Contributions may be made to the New Mexico Boys and Girls Ranch.
