Carrington Norvell

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 12, at Woodbine Cemetery for Carrington Mason Norvell, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Norvell, 71, died Sunday, July 10, 2005 at Artesia General Hospital. Markey Byers will officiate at the services. Mr. Norvell was born October 25, 1933 in Wetumka, Oklahoma; the son of Mack Norvell and Hazel Romic Norvell. He was married to Ruth Helen Pettigrew in Globe, Arizona. He came to Artesia in 1992 from Mesa, Arizona. He was a Journeyman Plasterer and member of Mormon Church in Tempe, Arizona, and member of the O.P.M.C.I.A. Union. He was preceded in death by parents, a brother and 4 sisters. Survivors include his wife Ruth Helen Norvell of the family home; sons Randy Norvell and Norman Norvell both of Apache Junction, Arizona; step-son Steve Dick of Apache Junction; step-daughters Paula Schofield of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Toni Byers of Artesia; sister Helen Lanier of Dexter, N.M.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
