Carol Posey

Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, at the Upper Hope Cemetery for Carol Posey of Sacramento, New Mexico. PMrs. Posey, 72, died Monday, August 10, 2008 at the Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center in Alamogordo, New Mexico. PDavid Brunson will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Powell, Will Crockett, Mike Goss, Doepp Crockett, John Stubbs, and Ricky Wright. PVisitation will be at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. PMrs. Posey was born August 14, 1935 in Carlsbad, N.M.; the daughter of Mark A. Fisher and Lunye Mae Dean Fisher. POn June 22, 1953 she was married to Alton Jacup Posey in Carlsbad. She came to Artesia in 1953 from Hope then moved to Sacramento 15 years ago. PCarol was a Registered Nurse and the operating room supervisor at the Artesia General Hospital for 26 years. She was also a member of Weed Church of Christ and a former member of the Hermosa Drive Church of Christ in Artesia. PShe was preceded in death by her parents and a 12 brother Jack Scott.
Survivors include her husband Alton Posey of the family home; son Marty Posey of Hope, N.M.; brother James Munson of Paris, Texas; sisters Lenora Harlin of Albuquerque, N.M., and Bobbie Jo Van Winkle of Artesia; grandchildren Jessica Posey of Artesia, Amanda Beltran of Las Cruces, N.M., and Nicholas Posey of Hope; numerous nieces and nephews.
