No services are scheduled for Carol Imai, 2009 W. Centre Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Imai, 78, died Friday, August 6, 2010 at Artesia General Hospital.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son.

Mrs. Imai was born December 24, 1931 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the daughter of Arlo Van Houten and Marian Mathers Van Houten.

On May 1951 she was married to Hiroshige Imai in Brawley, California. She came to Artesia in 2003 from Burns, Oregon. He preceded her in death.
She was a secretary and member of the Presbyterian denomination.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Survivors include a son Jamie Imai of Artesia, N.M. daughters Kelly Imai of California, and Valanne Stockton of Oregon sister Margaret Kelly of Michigan 3 grandchildren Jamie Imai, Jr., Jeremy Imai, and Brent Ellison and wife Angel greatgrandson Kyle Ellison.
