Carlos Salinas

Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, September 15, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Carlos Alfonso Salinas, 1801 Oak St., Artesia, New Mexico. Carlos, age 3, died Tuesday, September 11, 2001 at Artesia General Hospital in Artesia. Fr. Virgilio Flores will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Salinas, Luis Zamudio, Jimmy Nava and Marcos Perez. A rosary will also be held at 6:30 P.M. Friday at Our Lady of Grace. Carlos was born June 29, 1998 in Roswell, New Mexico; the son of Antonio Salinas, Jr. and Tina Zamudio. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia. Survivors include his father Antonio Salinas, Jr. of Roswell; mother Tina Zamudio of Artesia; brother Michael Ray Salinas of Artesia; grandmothers Julie Campbell of Artesia, Maria Ramos of Artesia; grandfathers Raul Estrada of Odessa, Texas, Antonio Salinas, Sr. of Carlsbad, NM; great-grandparents Maria Campbell of Artesia, Alfonso and Lola Reyes of El Paso, Texas, Sabina Salinas of Artesia; great-great-grandmother Lupe Marquez Ramos of Chihuahua, Mexico; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
