Carl Ross

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at Hermosa Drive Church of Christ in Artesia, N.M. for Carl Ellis Ross, of Lakewood, New Mexico. Mr. Ross, 90, died Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at Southridge Village in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Michael Joiner will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mr. Ross grandsons. Mr. Ross was born June 28, 1914 in Lakewood, New Mexico; the son of James Taylor Ross and Charity Francis Brazeal Ross. He was a lifelong resident of Lakewood. He was a rancher and worked as a lineman for Central Valley Electric Co-operative, and was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Ross was preceded in death by his parents, and by brothers Joe Ross and Alton Ross. Survivors include sons Ralph Ellis Ross of Hawaii, J. T. Ross of Lakewood, Bill Ross of Artesia, Robert Ross of Searcy, Arkansas, Gary Ross of Searcy, and Ronnie Ross of Artesia; sisters Myrtle Heard of Florida, Jewel Hickam of Carlsbad, N.M., and Bonnie Powell of Hope, N.M.; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
