Graveside services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday February 24th at Woodbine Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at West Main Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. for Carl Kenneth Moore of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Moore, 79, died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Galen Isaacs will officiate at the services. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Carl was born February 10, 1936 in Bristow, Oklahoma; the son of Carl D. Moore and Florence (Polm) Moore.
On December 24, 1954 he was married to Joyce Singleton in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. They moved to Artesia in October of 1965.
He worked for Phillips Petroleum for 41 yrs and retired in 1998. There he performed many jobs and ended his career as a Field Operator. Carl and Joyce were members of West Main Baptist Church and the Artesia Bulldog Sams RV Chapter. Carl enjoyed line dancing and playing bridge but hooking up his RV and traveling and spending time with his grandchildren and family were his most favorite things to do.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; son Richard Moore; and a brother Doug Moore.
Survivors include his spouse Joyce Moore of the family home; daughters Sherrie Moore of Ruidoso, N.M. and Deborah Moore of Nogal, N.M.; 5 grandchildren Carl Nash Godinez, Cheyenne Godinez, Preston Godinez, Utah Godinez, and Nealy Godinez; 4 great-grandchildren Kristen Godinez, Andrea Godinez, Aspen Bascom, and Bronson Bascom; and a sister Shirley Willett of Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
