Candelaria Galindo

Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 3, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Candelaria Galindo, 309 S. 19th St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Galindo, 92, died Sunday, July 31, 2005 at her home. Father Richard Lifrak SS. CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raul Velasquez, Gerardo Velasquez, Jessie Galindo, and Felipe Galindo. A vigil service is also scheduled for 6:30 P.M. Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace Church. Mrs. Galindo was born March 10, 1913 in Mexico; the daughter of Apolito Galindo and Martimiana Talavera Galindo. She was married to Jesus Ramirez. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and by one son and one daughter. A longtime Artesia resident, she was a cook for many local restaurants, and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Survivors include daughter Celia Galindo of Artesia; sister Baudelia Galindo of Guadalajara, Mexico; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
