Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at the House of Worship Church of God for Camille F. "Nan" Chandler of Artesia, New Mexico.
Ms. Chandler, 69, went to be with her Lord Monday, April 10, 2017 from her home with her children Christine and Caren by her side.
Pastor Daniel Mullins will officiate at the services with cremation to follow the service.
Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary Wednesday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Camille was born July 23, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York to Frank Walter Nicklo and Mary (LaMuraglia) Nicklo.
She moved to Artesia in 2006 from North Carolina. It was in North Carolina where she resided for 27 years. She received her Bachelors Degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Camille was a Tarheel through and through. She later received her Masters Degree from North Carolina State University. She moved there in 1980 and prior to that she resided in many states inculding Oregon, California, New Jersey and New York.
Camille was a teacher/administrator of an Adult High School Diploma program at Vance Granville Community College in North Carolina where she retired. She was a very active church member and attended both the House of Worship in Artesia and the New Beginnings Church of God in Carlsbad. She faithfully taught bible study in several locations of Eddy County. She was very active in her community and was also a freelance artist. Her love in life was her grandchildren and helping them succeed in life and their studies, dedicating many hours to helping them either in person or via phone or internet. She loved her grandchildren and family and cherished being able to spend as much time as possible with them all.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her daughters Caren Chandler of Artesia and Christine Boysen and husband Walter of Mullica Hill, New Jersey; brother Dominic Nicklo and wife Betty Ann of Saint Augustine, FL; grandchildren Kevin Blake Chandler, Payton Grace Chandler both of Artesia, Lauren Marie, Katelyn Elizabeth, and Donovan Raymond Boysen of Mullica Hill, New Jersey, and Walter Herman and Kenneth Charles Boysen both of Pennsylvania; niece Melinda Harrison and husband Robert; nephew Frederick Nicklo and wife Cheryl; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
