Bryce Fox

Memorial services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 19, at the Valley Christian Church for Bryce K. Fox of Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Fox, 87, died Friday, August 15, 2008 at the Artesia General Hospital Emergency Room. Rev. Steve Ormord will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Fox was born January 4, 1921 in Beulah, Kentucky; the son of Clell Bailey Fox and Cora Lucile Beal Fox. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Bryce came to Artesia in 1978. On December 18, 1981 he was married to Billye Reneau in Louisiana. He was an Ordained Minister for the Christian Church for 49 years and served in several churches in Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. He retired in 1992 at his last church in Oklahoma. He was a member of the Valley Christian Church in Artesia, the American Legion, and he loved to woodwork. Bryce was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Billye Fox of the family home; step-daughter Linda Isaacs and husband Danny of Lake Fork, Texas; step-son Courtney Ragsdale and wife Caryn of Victoria, Texas; brother Earl Fox of Dawson Springs, Kentucky; sisters Mary Romerhaus of Maybank, Texas, and Betty White of Madisonville, Kentucky; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
