A celebration of life service is scheduled for Bryan Lynn Morton at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, at Cornerstone Fellowship, Fifth Street and Quay Avenue, Artesia. Morton passed on Feb. 2 in San Antonio, Texas, from a heart attack. He was born Oct. 5, 1963, in Tucumcari. He lived a full life, including high school in Temple, Texas; college at Stephen F. Austin in Nacodoches, Texsa; and car sales and restaurant operation in the HoustonGalveston area. He moved to Artesia in 1992, had two children with Ronda Tasker, and was a vital part of the community through Pecos Diamond Steakhouse. He loved working with the public and Artesia truly embraced him. He relocated to San Antonio in 2006 and became certified in several areas of Christian counseling. He was employed at Teen Challenge. Bryan loved people, especially children, motorcycles and had a heart full of the Lord. He was a member of the family at Cornerstone Fellowship and attended the First Assembly of God in San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Survivors include his parents, Howard and Rosalie Morton; sister, Dana Morton; and two precious children, Skylor Rhea Morton and Taylor Brynn Morton, all of Artesia. Memorial gifts may be made in Bryans honor to Victory Life Artesia or Teen Challenge San Antonio through Cornerstone Fellowship, 1007 Runyan Ave., Artesia.
