Bruce Mccaleb

Memorial services are scheduled at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Hermosa Church of Christ for Bruce M. McCaleb of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. McCaleb, 86, died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Artesia General Hospital.

Michael Joiner will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday .

Pallbearers are Jake Klein, Brian McCaleb, Chance Scarborough, Ryan Gaines, Jonathon Herrera and Clay Mason.

Bruce was born April 16, 1928 in Obion County, Tennessee; the son of Archie McCaleb and Jewel (Rutledge) McCaleb. On Oct. 15, 1958 he was married to Margaret Young in Memphis, Tennessee. He came to Artesia in Aug. 1974 from Albuquerque, NM.

He retired as manager of TG&Y and then owned and operated Abo Cleaners for many years. He was a member of Hermosa Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Bruce McCaleb, grandson Scott Klein, two sisters and a brother.

Survivors include his wife Margaret McCaleb of Artesia; sons Mark McCaleb and wife Carrie of Artesia, Eric McCaleb and wife Mitzi of Artesia, and Barry McCaleb of Atlanta, Georgia; daughters Tammy Klein and husband Timmy of Artesia, and Denise Thoele and husband Luke of Mississippi; grandchildren Jake and Kelly Klein, Courtney and Ryan Gaines, Jenna and Jonathan Herrera, Brian McCaleb, Chance and Morgan Scarborough, Kelcey McCaleb, and Anniston McCaleb; great-grandchildren Mayci and Casen Scarborough, and Presley Gaines.
