Brenda Ann Rogers, lovingly known as Brenda, peacefully passed away on September 3, 2023, in Artesia, NM, at the age of 68. She was born on November 20, 1954, in Vernal, UT, to her parents David and Mildred Capps. Known for her gentle nature and warm heart, Brenda was beloved by all who knew her.
Brenda was an animal lover, particularly when it came to dogs. She always had a furry companion by her side, sharing her love and bringing joy to her home. Additionally, she dedicated her time and energy volunteering in the local public school system, where she made a positive impact on the lives of many children.
Family was of utmost importance to Brenda, and she cherished every moment spent with her son, Thomas Rogers, and her daughter, Kimberly Rogers. Together, they created lasting memories filled with laughter, love, and support. Brenda's sense of humor was contagious, and she had a talent for lightening any atmosphere with her quick wit and infectious laughter.
Known for her selflessness, Brenda continuously offered a helping hand, always ready to assist others in any way she could. Whether it was providing a listening ear, volunteering for a good cause, or lending a helping hand to a neighbor in need, Brenda's kind and compassionate nature touched countless lives.
A celebration of Brenda's life will be held on September 11, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Terpening & Son Chapel, located at 611 W. Grand Ave., Artesia, N.M. . Friends, family, and all those whose lives were touched by Brenda are welcome to attend and share their fondest memories.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Brenda's memory to a local animal shelter or an organization supporting the education of underprivileged children, causes that were dear to her heart.
Brenda Ann Rogers will be deeply missed by her children Thomas Rogers and Kimberly Rogers, sisters Susie McCaw, Debbie Lindsey, and Sandy Villa, numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. Her loving spirit, sense of humor, and dedication to helping others will forever remain in our hearts.
