Brad Todd

July 31, 1963 — April 1, 2015

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church located at 711 W. Washington Avenue, Artesia, NM. Pastor Rick Smith will officiate.

Mr. Todd, 51, died Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at his home in Artesia. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Brad was born Robert Bradley Todd on July 31, 1963 in El Paso, TX; the son of Robert Lynn Todd and Laura (Embrey) Todd. He was raised in Las Cruces, NM.

Brad and Denise Todd were married in Las Cruces on August 14, 1991. Brad, Denise and their daughter Samantha came to Artesia in 1998.

Brad was employed by the State of New Mexico. For the last 16 years he also owned and operated Cow Dog Lawn Services of Artesia. Brad and his wife Denise are co-owners of the Tia Juana's Mexican Grill & Cantina with restaurants located in Roswell and Hobbs, NM. He was a graduate of New Mexico State University.

Brad was a lifetime NRA member. He was a gun enthusiast and loved to hunt. Brad was a musician and played the guitar, mandolin, and bass guitar. During the last few years of his life Brad had become interested in the art of lutherie and had successfully built two beautiful handmade guitars. He also loved to sing. Brad sang and played the guitar in church every Sunday. He also performed with other local musicians on Sunday afternoons for the residents of San Pedro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Artesia, formerly Heartland Nursing Home. He had a profound love for his dogs.

We was preceded in death by his father Robert Lynn Todd, a brother John Matthew Towne, and a grandson Payton Walker Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Denise Todd of Artesia; daughter Samantha Rogers of Hobbs; 2 grandchildren Abby Lynn Todd Davis and Ty Lane Rogers of Hobbs; mother Laura Embrey of Artesia; sister Susan Thompson of Spring Ranch, TX; brother Daniel Todd of Crane, TX; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, his church family, customers and friends.....all whom he loved dearly and deeply.
