Graveside services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Woodbine Cemetery, Artesia, N.M. for Bonnie Wayne Kennedy, 2200 Wydewood Drive, Midland, Texas.

Mrs. Kennedy, 97, died Sunday, May 13, 2012 in Odessa, Texas.

Pastor Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be greatgrandsons David Smith, Cody Mullins, Christopher Smith, and Lance Smith.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday

Bonnie was born November 6, 1914 in Menard, Texas the daughter of Floyd Daniel and Agnes Lillian McDonald Daniel. She came to Artesia in 1949 from Kerrville, Texas.

On Aug. 1, 1937 she was married to Clark Kennedy in Wink, Texas. He preceded her in death Feb. 3, 1986.

She and her husband along with brothers Donald Kennedy and Walter Kennedy and their wives were operators A D Grocery in Artesia. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Artesia, and the quilting circle at the church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Aline Elizabeth Greer, grandson David Clark Smith, sisters Nettie Forrest Gibbens and Lillian Revelle Starling.

Survivors include daughter Doris Yvonne Smith and husband Clayton Lynn of Midland, Texas grandchildren Harold Wayne Greer of Houston, Texas, Patricia Lanette Mullins of Lampassas, Texas, Jerry Lynn Smith of Artesia, and Steven Wayne Smith of Odessa greatgrandchildren Christopher Wayne Smith of San Antonio, Texas, Cody Clark Mullins of Roswell, NM, Shawna Lanette Mullins of Roswell, Heather Ann Smith of Odessa, David Chayne Smith of Golden, Colorado, Lance Avery Smith of Artesia, and Britney Michaelle Greer of Houston, Texas greatgreatgranddaughter Kennedy Mae Grace Rosenfield of Odessa and numerous nieces and nephews.
