Bobby Williams

Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Faith Baptist Church for Bobby R. Williams, Sr., 2101 W. Clayton Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Williams, 71, died Monday, November 28, 2011 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Rev. Michael Elliot will officiate at the services.

Bobby was born December 24, 1939 in Odessa, Texas. Alis Alis Williams. On January 5, 1959 he was married to Ruth Williams in Goldsmith, Texas. He came to Artesia in 1989 from Georgia. She preceded him in death on September 19, 2006. On April 5, 2008 he was married to Tammy Dodd in Artesia, NM.

He served in the United States Navy. He was Chief of Training at FLETC and also U.S. Park Police officer, and a member of Faith Baptist Church, Bulldog Sams Traveling Club, and enjoyed camping fishing, and hunting.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include His wife Tammy Williams of the family home son Bobby R. Williams Jr. and wife Helen of Artesia daughters Renee Colley and husband Randy of Milford, Virginia, and Kimberly Klein and fiance Danny Baecker of Trenton, Ohio brother Darvin Williams of Odessa, Texas, 9 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.
