Bobby Perkins

Memorial services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 13, at Terpening Son Mortuary for Bobby B. Perkins, 1504 W. James Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Perkins, 66, died Sunday, June 9, 2002 at Artesia General Hospital. Cremation has taken place under direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Perkins was born February 13, 1936 in Pampa, Texas; the son of Grady B. Perkins and Winnie D Hollis Perkins. On September 28, 1996, he was married to Louise Bates in Artesia. He came to Artesia in 1997 from Socorro, N.M. He was an optical technician for Dyncorp and member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church in Socorro. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a daughter Regina Perkins Strickler. Survivors include his wife Louise Perkins of Artesia; a son Vernon F. Perkins of Aztec, N.M.; and grandchildren Kelly Rotter of Ellensburg, Wash., Sarah Thorson of Ellensburg, Ryan Strickler of Waco, Texas, Kyle Strickler of Abilene, Texas, James Perkins of Aztec and Casey Perkins of Aztec.
