Bobbie Moore

Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, at Hermosa Drive Church of Christ for Bobbie Moore, 801 S. Roselawn Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Moore, 69, died Sunday, October 10, 2010 in Lubbock, Texas.

Michael Joiner will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be J.T. Jackson, Randy Allison, Larry Davis, Nick Ford, Mike Prude, and Tommy Howell. Honorary pallbearers will be Budd Hebert and Lee Mallett.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Moore was born March 23, 1941 in Lubbock, Texas the daughter of James Thurl Swinson and Nela Hall Swinson.

On Sept. 28, 1963 she was married to Don Moore in New Home, Texas.

She came to Artesia in Jan. 15, 1973 from Springhill, Tennessee.

She was an office manager for State Farm Insurance and member of Hermosa Drive Church of Christ, D.A.R. Regent, Artesia Needlepoint Guild, and Red Hat Society, and a volunteer at the Church of Christ Community Outreach.

She was preceded in death by her father, and grandson James Thurl Moore.

Survivors include her husband Don Moore of the family home mother Nela Swinson of Lubbock sons Don Moore Jr. of Hobbs, N.M., and James Moore of Artesia daughter Nicki Collins of Guthrie, Oklahoma sisters Joyce Swinson Stamps of Ropesville, Texas,and Patsy Swinson Capps of Lubbock grandchildren Kathryn Moore of Huntington, W. Virginia, and Larissa Collins of Guthrie.
