Bob Mayberry

Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 10th, at Hermosa Church of Christ for Bob L. Mayberry of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Mayberry, 78, died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at his home.

Michael Joiner and West Pape will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tanner Northrop, Todd Northrop, Craig Mayberry, Jeff Mayberry, John Wood, and Kole McKamey.

Bob was born July 5, 1935 in Hillsboro, Texas the son of Landon Crawford Mayberry and Luanna Jane Bolton Mayberry. He came to Artesia in 1949 from Hagerman, N.M.

He served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

On December 29, 1956 he was married to Jo Ann Nunn in Artesia.

Bob was a farmer and an Elder at Hermosa Church of Christ. He also served as a boardmember at PVT for 31 years. The second love of his life was his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents brothers Melvin, L.C.Red, and Herman Mayberry and a sister Elora King.

Survivors include his wife Jo Ann Mayberry of the family home daughters Kay Ann McKamey and husband Keith of Midland, TX, and Jo Beth Northrop and husband Todd of Ennis, Montana son Bob E. Mayberry and wife Sandra of Artesia grandchildren Craig Mayberry and wife Hannah, Jeff Mayberry, Jacqueline Mayberry, Krista Wood and husband John, Kole McKamey and wife Sarah, Kayla McKamey, Jade Northrop, and Tanner Northrop greatgrandchildren Peyton McKamey, Elena Mayberry, and Parker Wood brother Thurman Mayberry of Hagerman, N.M. and sister Jane Ford and husband Joe of Bayfield, Colorado.
