Billy Holland

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 13, at Woodbine Cemetery for Billy A. Holland, 1204 W. Missouri Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Holland, 70, died Monday, June 9, 2008 at Yoakum County Hospital in Denver City, Texas. Pastor Skip Rodgers, of Denver City, will officiate at the services. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday Mr. Holland was born June 7, 1938 in Phoenix, Arizona; the son of Bill Holland and Helen Boyse Holland. On March 3, 1962 he was married to Wanda Joyce in Artesia. He originally came to Artesia in 1951 and returned in July 2007. She preceded him in death March 17, 2005. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was an oil tool specialist for Baker Oil Tools in Hobbs. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Survivors include son Michael Holland of Chandler, Arizona; daughters Shalana Rodriguez of Lovington, N.M., and Marisa Nave of Harker Heights, Texas; sister Jean Tysver of Artesia; grandchildren Mystie Hayes, Kelsie Rodriguez, and Elizabeth Nave; great-grandchildren Catherine Hayes and Jeremiah Hayes.
