Billie May

August 16, 1972 — November 8, 2015

Memorial services are scheduled at 11:00 A.M. Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at Faith Baptist Church for Billie Charles May of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. May, 43, died Sunday, November 8, 2015 at his home.

Michael Elliott will officiate at the services.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Billie was born August 16, 1972 in Wichita Falls, TX; the son of Donald May and Becky (Morgan) May. He came to Artesia in 1974 from Colorado City, TX.

Billie loved his family and friends. He was forever helping someone in need and was forgiving, almost to a fault. He would give the shirt off of his back to someone in need if he thought it would fit. The oilfield was his choice of vocation and loved searching for arrowheads when he had a chance. He was an ardent patriot, 2nd Amendment supporter, gun lover and knife collector. He was son, brother, dad, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, grandson, nephew and friend. He had his ups and downs in life and was just trying to get life lived. He had a beautiful smile that will live always in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known him. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his granddad Billie C. Morgan.

Survivors include his parents Donald and Becky May of Artesia; step-daughter Branda Bartlett of Artesia; sister Dawna Romine and husband Bill of Artesia; aunties Mary P. Morgan and Debbie Boroski and husband Jeff; 2 grandchildren; granny Mary Morgan; nephews Dylan and Seth Romine; and numerous cousins.
