Billie Kelley

Closed Casket services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, at West Main Baptist Church for Billie Kelley, 604 W. Dallas Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Kelley, 51, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at U.N.M. Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Don Ragland will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Richard Martin, John Knight, Rusty McKee, Robby Miller, Ralph Doughty, Tommy Brewer, Dan Cogar, and Stanley Menefee. Honorary Pallbearers will be all members of the Senior Adult Men's Department at West Main Baptist Church. The family asks all those attending the service to please pin a 5 bill to their lapel. Visitation at Terpening Son Mortuary will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Saturday. Billie was born April 6, 1956 in Artesia; the daughter of George Chase, Sr. and Neva Galatian Chase. In 1988 she was married to Max Preston Kelley in Artesia. He preceded her in death in December, 1997. She did taxes for Brewer Oil Company in Artesia and was a member of West Main Baptist Church. She played piano for Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in church. She was preceded in death by a twin brother Bobbie Lee Chase and by a grandson Adrian Saiz. Survivors include her parents George and Neva Chase of Artesia; a daughter Cassie Shawn Saiz of Artesia; siblings Kathy Brewer and husband Gary of Albany, Texas, Karen S. Miller of Allen, Texas, George Chase, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Artesia, and Linda Riesz and husband David of San Antonio, Texas; and a grandson Jacob Isaac Saiz of Artesia.
