Billie Hamilton

No services are scheduled for for Billie Lee "B.L. or Bucky" Hamilton, Sr. of Artesia, New Mexico. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Mr. Hamilton, 83, died December 13, 2018 at Artesia, NM.

Billie was born October 21, 1935 in Walnut Ridge Arkansas to Robert Hamilton and Bertha Wilson Hamilton.

Billie came to Artesia in the early 1950's from Arkansas. He was married to Shirley Ann White in 1956 in Juarez, Mexico. She preceded him in death on December 4, 2014.

He worked in the oil field for many years holding many positions from derrick hand to driller for WEK. he enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors, playing guitar, singing, Dallas Cowboy games and loved the time he spent with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bobby Hamilton and O.D. Henly, and a sister Nina Starr.

Survivors include his daughters Teresa Smith and Lisa Ostiguy; sons Billy Hamilton and John Hamilton; sisters Florine Coburn and Mae Dean Rossiter; grandchildren Michael Vowell, Matthew Vowell, Courtney DeLong, William Jefferson Lee Hamilton and Cassidy Ostiguy; great-grandchildren Jaydrian Perez and Jonathon Molina.
