Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 15, at Terpening Son Chapel for Beulah Carter, 2002 W. Currier Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Carter, 64, died Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell. Rev. Michael Elliott will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sammy Stoneman, Mike Porter, Jean Dodd, Paul Evans, Johnny Williams, and Larry Dade. C. E. Larue has been designated as an honorary pallbearer. Visitation at Terpening Son Mortuary will begin at 11:00 A.M. Monday. Mrs. Carter was born October 8, 1940 in Ballinger, Texas; the daughter of Joe Wallace and Wilma Kite Wallace. On January 25, 1960 she was married to Mike Carter in Haskell, Texas. They came to Artesia in November of 1974 from Hobbs, N.M. She was a former cook at Taylor's and was a member of the Baptist denomination. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Michael Darrin Carter; and by one brother and one sister. Survivors include her husband Mike Carter of the family home; a son Joel Carter of Round Rock, Texas; daughters Lorrie Lee Anding of Pflugerville, Texas, Kelly Raye Carter of San Antonio, Texas, and Karla Kaye Freeze of Carlsbad, N.M.; a brother Bill Wallace of Abilene, Texas; a sister Jo Veta Harvey of Abilene, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
