Betty Wilson

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Betty Frances Wilson of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Wilson, 81, died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Artesia General Hospital.

Kevin Bartley will officiate at the services.

Visitation at Terpening Son Mortuary will beginning at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Betty was born October 25, 1929 in Seminole, Oklahoma the daughter of Charles George Harmon and Elizabeth Foreman Harmon. She was a lifelong Artesia resident.

On Nov. 1, 1947 she was married to Squire Branson Wilson in Carlsbad, N.M. He preceded her in death Oct. 20, 1975. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one grandson, and one greatgrandson.

She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse having worked at the Artesia Good Samaritan Center and Artesia General Hospital. She was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include her sons Danny Wilson and wife Masako of Portland, Oregon, and Gary Wilson wife Saada of Portland daughters Janet McHenry of Artesia, and Susan Walker and husband Jeff of Artesia 12 grandchildren 28 greatgrandchildren three greatgreatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
