Betty Bolton

March 1, 1931 — February 18, 2021

The family of Betty Ann Bolton will celebrate her life of nearly 90 years at Woodbine Cemetery, Artesia, New Mexico.  Graveside services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday, February 26th.  Those left cherish her memory and her sweet personality.

Mrs. Bolton, 89, died on February 18, 2021 at her home in Lubbock, Texas.
Betty was born on March 1, 1931 in Troup, Texas to Gus Arnold and Ella Mae Huggins Arnold.  They moved to New Mexico in 1943 to Loco Hills until a house became available in Artesia.  She and Bill met not too long after she moved there.  It was love at first sight.  They dated throughout high school and were married in June, 1948.   Her love of family, fashion, home decor and Betty Boop lasted throughout her life.  They were married 73 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Richard Chad Smith.
Survivors include her husband George William (Bill) Bolton of Lubbock, Texas; daughters Theresa Jan Bolton of Carrollton, Texas, and Clarissa Ann Bolton of Austin, Texas;  sister, Sara Mae Letton of Trinidad, California;  brother, Steven Dickey Arnold of White House, Texas; granddaughter, Dee Dee Ann Brauer, and  grandson, Ash Brewer; great-grandchildren, Justin Brauer and Dylan Brauer.
