Bette Anderson

Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 15, at Terpening Son Chapel for Bette M. Anderson, 1602 S. 20th St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Anderson, 86, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Rev. Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 19, at Evergreen Memorial Park in Omaha, Nebraska. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 am. Thursday. Mrs. Anderson was born July 29, 1921 in Omaha; the daughter of Ralph Longsdorf and Josie Corkhill Longsdorf. On Oct. 26, 1941 she was married to Paul F. Anderson in Omaha. She came to Artesia in 2004 from Omaha. He preceded her in death April 5, 1990. She was a Real Estate Agent and member of the Presbyterian denomination. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing the organ. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Richard, Robert and John Longsdorf, sons Thomas Paul and Robert Lynn. Survivors include son Steve Anderson and wife Cindy of Artesia; 2 granddaughters Diane Duran and husband Richard of Santa Fe, N.M., and Carolyn Jarvis and husband Jeffrey of Las Vegas, NV; 3 grandsons David Anderson and wife Tara of Albuquerque, N.M., Thomas Anderson and wife Julie of Las Vegas, and Joseph Anderson and wife Tiffany of Las Vegas; great-grandchildren Kyle and Victoria Duran of Santa Fe, Trent, Grant and Dean Jarvis of Las Vegas, Beau Mitchell Anderson of Albuquerque, and Clark Thomas Anderson of Las Vegas. Memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 611 N. Canal, Carlsbad, NM 88220 or Baptist Childrens Home, P.O. Drawer 629, Portales, NM 88130.
