Bertha Logsdon

Graveside services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Woodbine Cemetery for Bertha Earline Logsdon, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Logsdon, 84, died Friday, January 31, 2014 at her home.

Gary Smith will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be James Logsdon, Bob Lyle, Jaylan Barnett, Jason Barnett, Joshua Barnett, andRamia Smith.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday .

Bertha was born January 28, 1930 in Artesia, New Mexico the daughter of Frank James Mullenax and Linnie Hart Mullenax. She was a lifelong area resident.

On Jan. 7, 1947 she was married to Roy E. Logsdon in Roswell, NM. He preceded her in death April 23, 1999.

She was a salesclerk for many retail stores in Artesia. She attended My House Fellowship, like to play guitar, sing, sew and do crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Linda Johnson, and a brother.

Survivors include a son Roy Logsdon and wife Cynthia of Artesia daughters Janie Smith and husband Gary of Artesia, and Deborah Barnett and husband Dewayne of Artesia 10 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.
