Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 10, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Bertha Campos Cabezuela of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Cabezuela, 86, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Artesia General Hospital.
Fr. Martin Cornejo O.F.M. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Sunday beginning at 4:00 p.m. A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Sunday 6:30 p.m.
Bertha was born August 7, 1928 in Midland, Texas; the daughter of Alberto Campos and Ester (Tarin) Campos. She came to Artesia in 1956 From Texas.
On Feb. 17, 1956 she was married to Aurelio R. Cabezuela in Ft. Stockton, Texas. He preceded her in death November 3, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters; and a grandson.
Bertha worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant. She was a very active member of Our lady of Grace Catholic Church, and the Guadalupanas.
Survivors include her son Robert "Bobby" Cabezuela of San Marcos, Texas; daughters Estela Ramirez of Hatch, N.M., Socorro Alvarado of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Manuela Herrera of Brighton, Colorado, Delfina Garcia of Midland, Texas, Imelda Cabezuela Brizeno of Edgewood, N.M., and Irma Ramos of Artesia; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
