Bert Macarthur

Memorial services are scheduled at 6:00 P.M. Monday, July 5, at University Church of Christ in Las Cruces, N.M., for Bertha E. MacArthur, of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Macarthur, 78, died Friday, July 2, 2004 in Artesia. Danny McKinney will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mrs. MacArthur was born October 19, 1925 in Index, Arkansas; the daughter of James Harrison and Alice Jones Harrison. She was married to Edsel MacArthur. He preceded her in death May 30, 1986. She was a longtime Las Cruces resident moving to Artesia in March of 2004. She was a retired Military Nurse and member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include sons Danny MacArthur of Artesia and Jimmy MacArthur of Great Falls, Montana; daughters Robin Lackey of Las Cruces and Cherry Greenfield of Houston, Texas; a sister Marie Adams of Texarkana, Arkansas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
