Bernice Golden

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 15, at Woodbine Cemetery for Bernice W. Golden, 702 W. Washington Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. P PMrs. Golden, 94, died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. P PRev. Wayne Bedingfield will officiate at the services. No visitation is planned. P PMrs. Golden was born April 15, 1913 in Graham, Texas; the daughter of Oscar L. Walsh. PShe was married to Horace Golden on June 18, 1932 in Graham, Texas. She came from Texas to Artesia in 1936. Her husband preceded her in death on October 7, 1946. PShe was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Mary Whiteside, one brother, three sisters and a grandson Duane Golden. P PShe was later married to Louis Sanders. PBernice was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church, and the Senior Citizens Center. P
Survivors include sons Don Golden and wife Frances of Livingston, Texas, Sam Golden of Kirkland, Washington, and Jim Golden and wife Rosie of Hoagland, Indiana; 12 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
