Bennie White

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sep. 17, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for Bennie Lee White, 807 W. Centre Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. White, 77, died Sunday, September 15, 2013 in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Jake Bruton and Gary Lackey will officiate at the services.

Bennie was born April 17, 1936 in Eddington, Georgia the son of Henry White and Katie Knight White. He came to Artesia in 1972 from Denver, Colorado.

On Oct. 4, 1964 he was married to Jutie Bruton in Gainesville, Texas.

He was a janitor at the Artesia High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 4 brothers.

Survivors include his wife Jutie White of Artesia daughters Sonjia Schenk of Carlsbad, NM, and Subrena Lackey of Hagerman, NM grandchildren Katherine Schenk, Travis Schenk, Benton Davis, Chance Lackey, Cody Lackey, Morgan Lackey, Joe Cordero, and Valerie Steffens.
