Benito Valenzuela

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 19, at Terpening amp; Son Chapel for Benito Valenzuela of Artesia, New Mexico. PMr. Valenzuela, 60, died Monday, July 16, 2007 at Artesia General Hospital. PFr. Richard Lifrak SS. CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Galindo, Sr., Alberto Carrera, Martin Catano, Santos Valenzuela, Luis Carrillo, Aniseto Munoz, and Cosme Gomez. PVisitation will be at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary Wednesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. PMr. Valenzuela was born January 4, 1947 in Mulato, Chihuahua Ojinaga Mexico; the son of Blas Valenzuela and Paulina Estrada Valenzuela. POn April 1, 1978 he was married to Lenore Salazar in Artesia. He came to Artesia in 1978 from Hope, N.M. She preceded him in death December 1, 2006. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Pilar and Ruben Valenzuela. PHe worked as a farm hand on many ranches. PSurvivors include his daughter Eloisa Valenzuela and husband John of Artesia; brother Amador Valenzuela and wife Ramona of Artesia; sister Blanca Catano and husband Jesus of Marfa, Texas; grandchildren John Baeza, Jr., and Maribel Baeza both of Artesia.
