Beatrice Sosa

Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Monday, March 14, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Beatrice Leal Sosa, 1808 Jacobs Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Sosa, 75, died Thursday, March 10, 2005 at her home. Fr. Benedict Folger SS. CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Lopez, Mathew Lopez, Miro Lopez, Fabian Chavez. A rosary is also scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday Our Lady of Grace Church. Mrs. Sosa was born November 1, 1929 in Raymondville, Texas; the daughter of Ismael Leal and Rosa Cano Leal. On Feb. 1, 1959 she was married to Isaac Sosa in Artesia. She came to Artesia in 1957 from Raymondville. She was a housewife and member of the Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Delia Rosales, and a brother Guadalupe Leal. Survivors include her husband Isaac Sosa of the family home; sons Lawrence Sosa of Los Lunas, N.M., and Larry Sosa of Artesia; daughters Diana Lopez of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Linda Donnelly of Las Cruces, N.M.; brothers Raul Leal of Fresno, Calif., Ismael Leal of Lubbock, Texas, and Robert Leal of Roswell, N.M.; sisters Elvira Fonseca of Lyford, Texas, Aurora Gomez of Fresno, Lupe Carrasco of Artesia, and Rosita Lara of Artesia; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
