Barbara Runyan

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at First United Methodist Church for Barbara Jane Williams Runyan of Hope, New Mexico.

Mrs. Runyan, 80, died Thursday, July 1, at Caseman Hospital Hospice in Albuquerque, N.M.

David Brunson will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Bob Burnett, Mike Granado, Alden Elkins, Joe Derras, Bill Fletcher, and Danny Long. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Harwell, Orville Yaste, Anthony Martin, Timothy Martin, and Denny Kyle Burnett.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Barbara was born April 17, 1930 in Carlsbad, New Mexico the daughter of Edgar Williams and Catherine Finley Williams. She was a lifelong Hope area resident.

In April of 1952 she was married to Frank W. Runyan in Carlsbad. He preceded her in death in February of 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.

She was a housewife and member of Hope United Methodist Church, Womens Society Christian Service, and the New Mexico Yucca Cowbelles.

She is survived by her son William F. Billy Frank Runyan, II of Boyd, Texas.
