A memorial service is scheduled for 11 am Saturday, January 28 at Hermosa Church of Christ for Barbara Sue Martin of Lake Arthur, New Mexico.

Mrs. Martin, 65, died on January 13, 2023 in Lubbock, Texas.

Lance Morriset will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place.

Barbara was born on October 26, 1957 in Ft. Worth, Texas; the daughter of Martin T. Girdner and Dovie Joyce Bullock Girdner.

On July 12, 1975 she was married to Edward Martin.

Barbara loved to go riding on the Harley with her husband, spending time with her grandkids, and camping and riding go-carts with the grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Marion, father-in-law and a granddaughter Savanna.

Survivors include her husband Edward Martin; daughters Vickie Lewis and husband Robert, and Danieele Hughes and husband Rob; son Edward Martin Jr and wife Julie.; grandchildren Mariah Longwith and husband Joshua, Nicoel Shipley and husband Mitchell, RJ Lewis, Jeremiah Martin, Christopher martin, Kenzie Ray, Emily Baeza and husband Robert, JJ Martin, Zoey Martin, Alexis Herrera, Joseph Fletcher, Heather Martin and boyfriend Alex Kern, Dixie Burton, Beau Miller and Luke Huston; great-grandchildren Asher and Spencer Longwith, Bentley Shipley, Londyn and Lincoln Bernard, Knovah, jaxtyn and Iann Baeza, Mikey and Emma Herrera.
