Balbina Fernandez

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Balbina Gallegos Fernandez, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Fernandez, 49, died Friday, May 23, 2014 at her home.

Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Fernandez, Randy Fernandez, Travis Fernandez, Robert Fernandez IV, Darian Fernandez, Kody Braddix, Kellen Braddix and Bubba Perez.

A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace Church. Visitaiton will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Balbina was born February 13, 1965 in Artesia, New Mexico the daughter of Ben Gallegos and Antonia Grado Gallegos. She was a lifelong Artesia resident.

On Feb. 13, 1983 she was married to Robert Fernandez in Carlsbad, NM.

She was a housewife and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband Robert Fernandez of Artesia mother Antonia Gallegos of Artesia sons Robert Fernandez of Artesia, Randy Fernandez of Artesia, and Travis Fernandez of Artesia daughters Krystal Valencia of Artesia, and Kandase Fernandez of Phoenix, Arizona brothers Ben Gallegos of Artesia, and Jesse Gallegos of Artesia sisters Belia Hernandez of Phoenix, and Olga Galindo of Artesia 10 grandchildren parentsinlaw Robert and Mary Fernandez.
