Graveside services are scheduled at 3:00 P.M. Friday, August 22, at Woodbine Cemetery for Aviara Ray Chavez, 2513 Quarterhorse, Artesia, New Mexico. Aviara died Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at Carlsbad Medical Center in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Rev. David Rogers of Carlsbad will officiate at the services. Aviara was born August 19, 2003 in Carlsbad; the daughter of Sergio Chavez and Chiara Campbell. Survivors include her parents Sergio Chavez of Artesia, Chiara Campbell of Artesia; maternal grandparents Gina and Mark Hope of Artesia; maternal great-grandparents Bill Hope of Artesia, Alma Rawson of Artesia, David Addie Wells of Carlsbad; paternal grandparents Helen Chavez of Artesia, Joe Chavez of Artesia; paternal great-grandparents Manuela and Refugio Chavez of Roswell, NM; 4 aunts, 2 uncles, numerous cousins.
