Augustina Perez

Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 18 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Augustina O. Perez of Lubbock, TX.

Mrs. Perez, 83, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at her home in Lubbock.

Fr. Vijay will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leno Sanchez, Henry Perez, Roy Ortiz, Tony Perez, Jr., Secundino Perez, Jr., and Michael Perez.

A Rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Augustina was born August 28, 1934, the daughter of Antonio and Jesusita Ortiz in Mexico.

She moved to El Paso and married Frank Perez on January 1, 1967 and later that year then moved to Lubbock where they have resided ever since.

Augustina worked as a supervisor for housekeeping at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock for 25 years. She was a devout catholic lady who enjoyed cooking, baking and loved to spend time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother and sister.

Survivors include her husband Frank of the family home; son Tony Perez of Lubbock; brother Rogelio Ortiz of Lubbock; three grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
