Arley Thomas

Mr. Thomas, 74, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at home in Artesia, New Mexico.

Arley was born November 28, 1940 in Roswell, New Mexico; the son of Charley Elbert Thomas and Marie (Whitlock) Thomas. He came to Artesia in 1989 from Lovington, NM.

On March 26, 1966 he was married to Mary Lou Dill in Albuquerque, NM.

He was a sheet metal operator at Crouch Plumbing and a Jehovah's Witness.

Arley worked hard all his life to care for his family. He loved his God Jehovah and his wife, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is being cremated and his ashes will be taken to Blue Water Lake to be spread with his son David.

I must say "job well done" my husband. Rest in Peace until we see you again.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son David Thomas.

Survivors include his wife Mary Lou Thomas of Artesia; daughter Lee Thomas of Artesia; sons Velton Salazar and wife Judy of Kingston Spring, TN, Elton Salazar and wife Christy of Cincinnati, OH, Tracy Salazar and wife Donna of Louisville, KN; brother Don Thomas and wife Mariellen of Port St. Lucy, FL; sister Carol Rieger of Alamogordo, NM; grandchildren Michael, Candas, and Skyler Johnston, Nathan, Elton Jr., Nicolas and Destiny Salazar; great-grandchildren Emily, Paul, Alex and Michael David; best friend Jerry Ward of Albuquerque, NM; little dog Donut who was his faithful companion in these last years.
