Arizona Miles

Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, at Bethel Baptist Church for Arizona Miles of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Miles, 96, died Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Heartland Nursing Center in Artesia.

Rev. Thomas Ford will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Arizona was born April 14, 1917 in Wharton, Texas the daughter of Olan Carter and Ada Johnson Carter.

She married Freddie Kimble in Wharton. They moved to Artesia in 1945. He preceded her in death on August 31, 1964. Arizona was also preceded in death by her parents and a grandson Keef Kimble.

She was a homemaker, a member of Bethel Baptist Church, and the Easter Star. She also loved to cook.

Survivors include her son Freddie Kimble and wife Patricia of Artesia sister Annie Himpill of Roswell, N.M. grandson Rickey Kimble of Artesia granddaughters Natassia Kimble, and Dominique Kimble greatgrandchildren Breanna Kimble, Brandi Kimble, Bryan Kimble, and Bernadette Molina greatgreatgrandchildren Keyanna, Analyicia, Benjamin, and Angelina.
