Aristeo Garcia

A rosary will be held for Aristeo Marquez Garcia at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on Thursday, January 30, 2024 at 9:30 am, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 am.

Mr. Garcia, 88, was born on September 3, 1936, to Guadalupe and Jesusita Garcia in Mulato, Chihuahua, Mexico. He passed away on January 22, 2025, in Artesia, NM.

Aristeo was a life long farm worker. He was such a hard worker and he loved farming. His pastime was getting on his 4 wheeler and driving around Lake Arthur and sometimes out of city limits. His other pastime was going to check on his cows and watch them graze in the pasture. He said it reminded him of when he was a little boy when he lived in Mulato.

Aristeo is preceded by his beloved wife, Paula; sons, Jesus Aristeo and Ramon; daughter, Martha; his mother, Jesusita; father, Guadalupe; sisters, Elvira Rodriguez and Margarita Alvarado.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Rosa Rubio and husband Miguel; grandsons, Gabriel Rubio and Miguel Jr. Rubio; granddaughter, Leticia; great grandchildren, Anayeli Rubio, Adrian Rubio, Christian Rubio, Hayden and Liam.
