Arcenia Rodriguez

Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday, December 29, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Arcenia Rodriguez of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Rodriguez, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 23, 2016 surrounded by her family.

Fr. Martin Cornejo will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jeff Molina, Eric Molina, Robert Sarellano, Jevon Rivera, Angelo Rivera, and Anthony Trevino. Honorary pallbearers will be David Molina and Rueben Rivera.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary Wednesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Arcenia was born August 31, 1935 in Sonora, Texas to Francisco Rodriguez and Germana (Mendoza) Rodriguez. She came to Artesia in 1955 from Texas.

On December 17, 1958 she married Basiliso Rodriguez in Artesia.

Arcenia was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She enjoyed shopping, sewing, fishing and dancing and her love was getting to spend time with her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Robert Trevino, Jr., three sisters, and three brothers.

Survivors include her husband Basiliso of the family home; daughters Susan Molina and husband Frank, and Gracie Rivera and husband Fred all of Artesia; son Daniel Trevino of Artesia; sisters Catalina Martinez and Emma Hinojos both of Hobbs, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
