Services are scheduled at 9:30 AM. Thursday, September 11 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Antonio B. Morales, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Morales, 68, died Monday, September 8, 2003 in Lubbock, Texas. Father Richard Lifrak will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lu
ico Ochoa, Joel Ochoa, Tony Huerta, Javier Lopez, Daniel Aranda, and Max Carrasco. Honorary pallbearers will be Eliseo Acosta and Simon Navarrette. A rosary service is also planned for 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at Our Lady of Grace. Mr. Morales was born March 22, 1935 in Salcido, Chihuahua, Mexico; the son of Tomas Morales and Concepcion Balles Morales. On February 14, 1953 he was married to Mague Navarrette in Ojinaga, Mexico. He came to Malaga, N.M. in 1937 and to Artesia in 1953. He was a farm laborer for Johnny Bowman, Johnny Norwood, Parham Farms, and Armstrong Farms and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He enjoyed Western movies, and playing poker and shooting dice. Mr. Morales was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; one son; and two great-granddaughters. Survivors include his wife Mague Morales of the family home; sons Tony Morales and Humberto Morales both of Las Cruces, N.M.; daughters Virginia Sanchez and Delma Carrasco of Artesia, Irma Aranda of Roswell, N.M., Olivia Lopez of Artesia, and Dora Morales of Las Cruces; a sister Gloria Anaya of Loving, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
