Antonia Olguin

Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, at the House of Worship Church of God for Antonia G. Olguin of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Olguin, 101, died Monday, October 17, 2011 at her home.

Pastor Kevin Bartley will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jaime Sanchez, Eliseo Olguin, Abel Rodriguez, Jr., Dominic Olguin, Freddy Olguin, Jr., and Rockie Olguin.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. A prayer service is also scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary.

Antonia was born July 2, 1910 in Loving, New Mexico the daughter of Elujio Gonzalez and Seferina Lopez Gonzalez. She was a longtime Artesia resident.

On March 13, 1944 she was married to Celestino Olguin in Carlsbad, N.M. He preceded her in death March 16, 1970. She was also preceded in death by her parents two sisters three brothers and sons Freddy and Alfredo Olguin.

Antonia was a homemaker and a farm laborer. She had also attended the House of Worship Church of God.

Survivors include her sons Abel Rodriguez of Artesia, Eliseo Olguin of Las Cruces, N.M., and Robert Olguin of Artesia daughter Elfida Sanchez of Artesia 26 grandchildren 72 greatgrandchildren and 65 greatgreatgrandchildren.
