Anthony Navarrette

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2 at Terpening & Son Chapel for Anthony G. Navarrette of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Navarrette, 49, died April 26, 2019 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX.

Socorro Navarrette will officiate at the services. Cremation will follow the services.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary Thursday from at 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Anthony was born June 5, 1969 in Artesia, the son of Prudencio and Teresa (Garcia) Navarrette. He was a long time Artesia resident.

On November 11, 2013 he married Melissa Trujillo in Roswell, N.M.

Anthony worked in rustabout, auto detailing, and window tinting for many years until he was disabled. Then auto detailing and window tinting was a hobby he did with his children Patrick, Cassandra, and Jonathan. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, lowriders and motorcycles. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was very talkative and made friends any place he visit.

He is survived by his wife Melissa Trujillo-Navarrette; father Prudencio; Children Angelica N. and husband Gustavo Aguilar, Cassandra Jimenez and husband Zach, Patrick Trujillo and wife Alice, Jonathan Trujillo and wife Ashley, Genieva Navarrette; Two grandchildren he helped raise Angelina and Patrick Trujillo; Brothers Raul Garcia and wife Lupe of Roswell, NM, Jose Navarrette and wife Jema, Socorro Navarrette and wife Lupe of Louisiana; Sister Virginia Lujan of Artesia

Anthony had 19 grandchildren and numerous neices, nephews, and cousins.

He is proceeded in death by his Mother Teresa, and three brothers David, Sammy, and Joseph Zarazua.
We are very thankful for his daughter Cassandra and his father Prudencio for taking him to all his appointments and being there when he needed help the most.
