Anthony "Tony" Chavez, 64, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Uncle was called to his eternal resting place on March 10, 2022. He was born on January 11, 1958 in Roswell, NM to Richard Polaco Chavez and MaryAnn Garcia and entrusted to his lifelong parents Alex and Teresa Chavez. Both proceeded him in death.

Tony's past time included spending time with friends and family. Fishing was always a go on a beautiful day. He also enjoyed his craftsmanship of making keychains ( and you are blessed if you have one!) He was self employed for many years as a landscaper and never allowed his disabilities to define him. He was his brothers keeper and would help anyone in need without expecting anything in return. He was a avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was active in church until his health started to decline. Always had a smile on his face and would never turn down a sweet treat or a Pepsi.

He is survived by his spouse Christina Chavez; son Anthony Chavez and wife Joni; daughter Sara Props and husband John; daughters Jennifer Rodriguez and Melissa Rodriguez. Grandchildren Anthony Ray Chavez II, Ariaha Sunshine Chavez, and Jonah Luke Props. He is also survived by his brothers Orlando Chavez, Carlos Chavez, Steve Chavez, Leo Chavez, Jerry Chavez, and Gilbert Navarrette, Lifelong Friend Kenny Oswald and wife Mary of California, sisters Gloria Duron, and extended brothers and sisters in love whom he considered siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also proceeded in death by sister Teresa Salazar, Brother Alex Chavez Jr.,grandson Elijah Noel Garcia, Mother in law Consuelo Martinez, Father in Law Doroteo Torrez, and Brother in Law Mark Torrez.
