Annie Bartlett

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 AM Friday, December 20, at Hagerman Cemetery in Hagerman, N.M. for Annie Elizabeth Bartlett of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Bartlett, 84, died Tuesday, December 17, 2002 in Artesia. Rev. Michael J. Elliott will officiate at the services. Mrs. Bartlett was born on September 10, 1918 in Paris, Texas; the daughter of General Sheridan Aubrey and Doshia Ann Earley Aubrey. On October 29, 1932 she was married to Joe R. Bartlett in Hollis, Oklahoma. She came to Artesia in 1969 from Hagerman. Her husband preceded her in death May 29, 1989. She was a homemaker and member of Faith Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter Doris Erwin of Elgin, Texas; a son A. J. Sonny Bartlett and wife Cookie of Artesia; a brother Fletcher Aubrey of Delano, Calif.; grandchildren Jeannie Vennebush and husband Roland of Vacliff, Texas, Debbie Erwin of Copeland Texas, and Jodi Erwin of Copeland; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
