Anna Caudle

Services are scheduled at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, June 6, at Taylor Memorial Baptist Church for Anna Kate Caudle, 1701 N. Turner, Hobbs, New Mexico. Mrs. Caudle, 81, died Monday, June 3, 2002 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center in Artesia, N.M. Rev. Dean Mathis will officiate at the services with burial at Memory Gardens in Hobbs. Pallbearers will be James Patanella, James Thomas, Ken Ketron, Cody Ketron, Richard Wheat and James Snider. Mrs. Caudle was born February 7, 1921 in Cisco, Texas; the daughter of Ralston Blackburn and Dora Westfall Blackburn. On November 22, 1945 she was married to Brodie Burl Caudle in Breckenridge, Texas. Her husband preceded her in death February 22, 1969. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She was a retired public school teacher; having taught in Juno, Texas. She was a member of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church and was an Adult Literacy volunteer. Survivors include a son Brodie Lynn Caudle of Tucson, Arizona and his daughter Juliet Caudle of Tucson; daughters Janice Thomas and husband James of Artesia and their daughter Jennifer Thomas of Roswell, N.M. and Jean Anne Patanella and husband James of Anaheim, Calif. and their children Michele Dortch of Anaheim and Brodie Patanella of Costa Mesa, Calif.; a brother Robert Blackburn of San Antonio, Texas; and a sister Madeline McKee of Lubbock, Texas.
